The mathematics department at Assumption High School strives to provide the tools to prepare students for everyday living and to develop logical thinkers and problem solvers. Technology will be used to strengthen concepts and increase understanding. The department provides a standards-based curriculum that incorporates a variety of teaching strategies for successfully teaching mathematics. It relates mathematics to real world situations and careers at every opportunity and it seeks to provide an atmosphere where students learn to enjoy mathematics.
